Crisis & Reputation Management Training
Curtin&Co believes that the most effective training is practical, not desk-based. Our dramatic crisis simulations test participants’ skills as they manage both the crisis itself and the ensuing media frenzy and public outcry; all of which is created by live actors and inputs. Then, having proven how difficult a task it can be, we will provide the practical knowledge and skills to handle a real life crisis effectively and maintain brand reputation.
The course was devised by Tom Curtin, chief executive of Curtin&Co, who has been visiting Professor for Crisis Management at IMD in Switzerland for 12 years. During this time, his courses have consistently achieved exceptional feedback scores from participants who value the hands-on approach to learning.
Curtin&Co works closely with all of its clients, both public and private sector, to ensure that the training they receive is relevant and appropriate to their business. We have the facilities to create bespoke crisis simulations, complete with individual news bulletins and technical data to make the simulation appear as real as possible.
Crisis Handbooks
A key facet of crisis management is a clear and concise guide which outlines procedures to follow, such as checklists and lifebelt statements for the media. It will become the Bible of operations during times of crisis and focus the actions of all members of the organisation.
Curtin&Co has the ability to produce successful handbooks in conjunction with our clients. We spend time familiarising ourselves with their procedures and tailor the handbook to their existing practices.
Media Training
The media affects every part of today’s world and it is vital that organisations use it as an effective tool to maintain and increase their brand’s reputation.
Curtin&Co draws from a wide-ranging pool of consultants, all of whom are former journalists, to train executives how to engage with journalists from the areas of print, radio, television and new media. Our aim is to help equip our clients with the skills they need to effectively engage with the media and its audience.
We provide practical training in front of cameras with extensive feedback to demonstrate how contact with the media may be used to optimum effect.
New media is also playing an increasingly important role in today’s world and Curtin&Co is equipped to provide training and advice on how it can be integrated into a company’s overall media plan as well as how it can be used to target specific audiences more effectively.
